Ecova Earns Accreditation from Carbon Disclosure Project

Ecova — the total energy and sustainability management company — today announced it has earned accreditation from the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) as a Carbon Calculation partner. The accreditation reflects Ecova’s success in helping its customers accurately calculate and report carbon emissions with the use of Ecova’s carbon accounting solution, Carbon Manager.

CDP’s Head of Corporate Partnerships, Paul Robins, commented, “The evaluation of Carbon Manager clearly demonstrated the capability of Ecova’s software service and the expertise and competence of its staff. Ecova has useful supportive tools and processes for solving the data acquisition problem and we are delighted to welcome the organization as a partner.”

CDP is an independent not-for-profit organization formed in 2000 and is considered the de facto standard for carbon disclosure methodology and processes. Some 3700 organizations around the world tap into CDP to measure, disclose, manage and reduce their carbon emissions. Accredited partners of CDP work to encourage the highest quality reporting and disclosure of data that is related to climate change, such as carbon emissions.

“The accreditation of our Carbon Manager solution is a true testament to Ecova’s commitment to helping our customers see more, save more and sustain more,” said Jeff Heggedahl, CEO of Ecova. “Being recognized by a globally renowned organization such as the CDP further validates that our customers are receiving high quality data and the tools they need to accurately identify, reduce, and report their global greenhouse gas emissions.”

Ecova’s carbon accounting solution, Carbon Manager, ensures organizations can easily develop and manage their carbon inventory for accurate and cost-effective carbon accounting. In addition to carbon inventory management, Carbon Manager provides a suite of analytic tools including emissions forecasting, scenario modeling, and mitigation project tracking functionality to help managers make better informed decisions on how to cost effectively reduce carbon emissions. The Carbon Manager platform exists within Ecova’s full-service energy and sustainability management platform to ensure integration with companies’ complete CSR reporting needs.
